Electric Potential Due To A Thin Infinite Plane Sheet Of Charge
Consider
 A thin infinite plane sheet having a uniform surface charge density σ Cm^{2}.
 Two points A and B at perpendicular distances ‘a’ and ‘b’ respectively from the sheet.
Let the electric potential at point A be V_{A} and the electric potential at point B be V_{B}.
We will travel from point A to point B and write the relation between electric field and electric potential.
Using the relation, we have
Since electric field due to an infinite plane sheet of charge is constant, so we can use the following relation

Here, negative sign represents that electric potential decreases in the direction of electric field.
